Madanamahārṇava

The bundle contains the Madanamahārṇava by Viśveśvara Bhaṭṭa (son of Peṭṭi Bhaṭṭa) / Māndhātā (son of Madanapāla). The text is incomplete - 14 taraṅgas have been identified (out of 40) (f° 6v: end of 1st taraṅga; f° 25r: end of 2nd taraṅga; f° 35v: end of 3rd taraṅga; f° 49v: end of 4th taraṅga; f° 56v: end of 5th taraṅga; f° 122r: end of 7th taraṅga; f° 128v: end of 8th taraṅga; f° 137v: end of 9th taraṅga; f° 144r: end of 10th taraṅga; f° 146v: end of 11th taraṅga; f° 150r: end of 12th taraṅga; f° 154r: end of 13th taraṅga; f° 154v: end of 14th taraṅga; after that point, only names of sections could be identified: f° 157v: nāsikarogaharaṇa; f° 159v: hṛdayarogaharaṇa; f° 160v: gurvivraṇaharaṇa; f° 162r: bhagavraṇaharaṇa; f° 163r: pūyavraṇaharaṇa; f° 165v: gaṇḍāmālaharaḥ; f° 166v: pittavraṇaharaṇa; f° 167r: vraṇaghnagajadāna; f° 169v: strīstanasphoṭaharana; f° 170r: other type of sphoṭaharaṇa; f° 172r: vātarogaharaṇa; f° 173v: unmādavātaharaṇa; f° 174r: dhanurvātaharaṇa). The manuscript is in good condition. The introductory section has many common verses with Madanapārijāta; it has a long genealogy of the author's patrons: it mentions kings Ratnapāla, Madanapāla, etc. as well as the author's father Peṭṭi Bhaṭṭa.
