Ten works, mostly on the ritual practice connected with the Aṣṭamīrohiṇī festival

The bundle contains ten works, mostly on the ritual practice connected with the Aṣṭamīrohiṇī festival. These are: [Aṣṭamīrohiṇīvivarana] (images 0007-0012). Tattvasudhā (Dakṣiṇāmūrtistotra Laghuvyākhyā) by Svayaṃprakāśamuni, disciple of Kaivalyānanda and Śuddhānanda (images 0013-0039); [Aṣṭamīrohiṇīnirṇaya] (images 0040-0053); Malayalam [Aṣṭamīrohiṇīvratavivaraṇa] - the text says it contains the response of Punnaśeri Nampi to doubts regarding Aṣṭamīrohiṇīvrata (images 0054-0059) [Aṣṭamīrohiṇīpramāṇāni] in Sanskrit|Malayalam (images 0060-0072). [Aṣṭamīrohiṇivivaraṇa] (images 0074-0081). [Aṣṭamīrohiṇīvratācaraṇavivaraṇa] (images 0082-0092). [Instructions on particular rituals: aśauca, snāna] (images 0093-0119). [Narasiṃhapūjā] comprising instruction for pūjā which contains many Vedāntic elements, which seems to indicate it might have been intended specifically for saṃnyāsins from the Tekke Maṭham, where Narasiṃha is the pūjāmūrti (images 0120-0126). This followed by a prescriptive text for saṃnyāsins called Yatyācārasaṃgraha [f° 12v: end of yogapaṭṭakhaṇḍa; f° 14v: end of siddhikalpa°; f° 20v: end of nitya°; f° 23v: end of śāstrārambha°; f° 28v: end of cāturmāsya°; f° 33v: end of naimittika°; f° 34v: end of abhyāgata°] (images 0127-0189). Aṣṭamīrohiṇī is a festival in Kerala, the South Indian equivalent of Kṛṣṇa Jayantī, celebrating the birth of Kṛṣṇa. The various parts of this bundle, some in Sanskrit and some in Malayalam, all deal with this same vrata, and rely mostly on the authority of the Vasiṣṭhasaṃhitā, which is widely quoted both in the Sanskrit and in the Malayalam parts. Most of the texts are incomplete, the manuscript is in good condition.
