Description: In 1993 the Overseas Development Administration of the British Government engaged (Contract No: OMD 9294 888/115/001A) John Anderson Planning under British aid arrangements to prepare a Report on Historic Buildings for the Government of Montserrat. The terms of reference included:- to identify the historic buildings of Montserrat and record, by photography and measurement, the salient features of such buildings. There has been no success at locating other copies (there must have been some) of this report and images, and as circa 95% of the buildings referenced have been destroyed by the volcanic activity 1995-2010, this may be the only detailed accurate professional record of them. Most references are to buildings in the capital Plymouth and greater Greater Plymouth; an island-wide second phase is mooted in the report.
