Compilation of government, administrative, notarial documents produced in the city and in the region over the years that are available for consultation by the general public and serves as the repository of the city's documentary memory, it keeps files of the 20th century. The First Notary of Montería contains 256 notarial protocols between 1908-1950. Among the type of registered documents are purchase and sale deeds, mortage deeds, contract deeds, wills, grants of Powers of attorney and others. Compilacion de documentos gubernamentales, administrativos, notariales producidos en la ciudad y su área de influencia a través de los años que están disponibles para la consulta del publico en general y sirve como es el repositorio de la memoria documental de la ciudad, conserva documentos del siglo XX. La Primera Notaría de Montería contiene 256 actas notariales entre 1908-1950. Entre los tipos de documentos protocolizados se destacan escrituras de compras y ventas, escrituras de hipotecas, escrituras de contratos, testamentos, otorgamiento de poder y otros. Los bosques secos del Valle del Sinú (NT0229) son una ecorregión en el norte de Colombia.

Custodial history: The notary protocols to digitalize were created and collected by the First Notary of Long Sinú created by decree 1191 of 1905, made up of the towns of Montería, San Carlos, Cereté and Ciénaga de Oro. It was later renamed First Notary of Montería. In 19th century the disposition of documents in notarial protocols was ordered as a fundamental component of the notarial file, through the Newest Compilation of Jul 15, 1805, compilation of castilian law that preserved its essence in that branch in the republican era. Only until 1852 was a revision of the notarial statute inherited from Spain made and it became law by the Senate and the House of Representatives of New Granada (now Colombia). Regarding notaries, this law says that their function is “receive and extend all the acts and contracts to which individuals and corporations want to give authenticity, to keep them, prove the date of their granting and issue copies and extracts of them that make full proof of the obligations and rights that arise from their content”.
Arrangement: The archive is made up of three documentary collections: Government of Córdoba, contains documents from the departments of said entity in the exercise of its functions from 1952 to 2006, it is made up of the sections: Office of the Governor, Secretary of Administrative Management, Secretary of Health, Departmental Treasury, Secretary of Education. Notarial Fund, made up of the First Notary, the Second Notary. Departmental Assembly Fund, is made up of Departmental Ordinance, Session Minutes, Departmental Gazette.
