Statue: Kunda (Wylie sku ’dra) སྐུ་འདྲ Early 20th century

A recently repainted clay statue of Tangtong Gyalpo, wrapped in a white Katak pierced with a silver trident headed skewer. Necklace of rupees, and seeds. 245 mm. One statue.

The material is owned by Meme Gatuk Tsering and has been handed down from father to son through several generations of head Buchen. All the materials in the archive are kept within the prayer room of the house. This was not seen: materials were brought out into the living room to be surveyed and documented.
