Description: Our Lady of Sumampa is also called Virgin of Compassion. Its statue shows to her advocators the image of the latter she defending humanity and God in the Apocalypse. She is the protector on the culture people of Santiago del Estero, particular, the poor, the weak as well as institutions as the provincial schools. Its devotion started in the early 17th century.
