Torre Lisandro de la - Político II° [1910s-1960s]

Description: Lisandro de la Torre (1868 –1939) was an Argentine politican who defended the idea of the autonomy of the municipalities. The latter was at last included in the Nation Constitution of 1994. In the 1930s, as Senator of the Nation, he investigated probable political corruptions in the meat trade. The group of interest in the meat trade tried to murder him but a friend, Enzo Bordabehere intercepted the bullet dying. De la Torre committed suicide in 1939. This envelope mainly informs us about his death and many the honours paid to him and his memory.
