The text is used for the church feast of Kidanä Mehrät ("Covenant of Mercy" of St. Mary; s. Encyclopaedia Aethiopica III, 396-99.). The manuscript contains the Dersanä Kidanä Mehrät, colophon, an Amharic note on the purchase of the manuscript: purchased by priest Haylä Sellase Gäbrä Heywät in Tämben, Mälfa (fol. 54r), apparently for wäyzaro Wälättä Abiyä Ezgi' who donated it to the church of Romanat (fol. 53rv).
