صداقت

Sadaqat was an Urdu weekly newspaper published from Kanpur started by Khwaja Abdussalam, who also served as its first editor. It had a long run across the twentieth and twenty-first centuries from March 1925 until 2013. This File contains issues from the year 1946. These include articles on Arab demands for independence in Palestine, the Indian National Army, and the Cabinet mission of 1946. Issues from 5 Jan 1946-28 Dec 1946. صداقت کانپور سے شائع ہونے والا ہفت روزہ اردو اخبار تھا۔ اس کی شروعات خواجہ عبدالسلام نے کی، جو اس کے پہلے ایڈیٹر بھی رہے۔ صداقت کا بیسویں صدی سے اکیسویں صدی کے بیچ، 1925 سے 2013 تک طویل سفر رہا۔ اس فائل میں 1946 کے شمارے موجود ہیں۔ ان میں فلسطین میں عربوں کی انگریزوں کے خلاف تحریک، آزاد ہند فوج ،اور 1946 کے کیبنٹ مشن پر مضامین شامل ہیں۔.

Extent: 52 issues containing 343 pages.

Size and dimensions of original material: Height 49.5cm, width 32.9 cm, depth 0.1cm.

Condition of original material: Issue 1 includes one additional image at the beginning which is a scan of the binder cover, and text loss due to the tops of the pages being damaged. Issues 2-9, 11-16, have text loss due to the tops of the pages being damaged; dates, page numbers illegible. Issues 10, 17-51 are fragile but generally readable, brittle and wasted after scanning. Issue 52 includes one additional page in the end which is a scan of the binder cover.
