Tilakkhana Sutta (Discourse on the three characteristics) tells about the death and rebirth of all living beings. The Buddha preached to bhikkhu and all the Buddhists that, being born as human beings in this world, is suffering with endless cycle of birth and death. Some existences, they are born as beasts, ghosts and demons according to the results of their actions in the past. Therefore, in order to get rid of the suffering, you must follow the principles of Majjhimā-patipadā (the middle way) or Atthaṅgika-magga (the noble eightfold path), which is the way of enlightenment and Ariyasacca (the fourfold noble truth). Colophon: Folio 25 on the recto side: In Sangkat (CS) 1200, a poek set year, on the third day of the waning moon of the fourth lunar month, the first day of the week (Sunday), a hap mao day, the writing was accomplished at the time of kòng laeng (between 13.30–15.00 o’clock). Huakhu Longkhun, abbot of Vat Longkhun temple sponsored the making of this manuscript entitled Lam Tilakkhanasut (Tilakkhana Sutta) to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. May this be a condition for us to reach Nirvana, certainly.
