King Kusalat and Queen Megavadi of Panchara went to the forest for hunting. A giant widow transformed herself into a golden deer to tempt Megavadi to fall in love with her. So she asked the king to catch the deer. When the kibg followed, the golden deer changed into a girl. When the king saw it, he fell in love with her. So, he took her as his second wife. Later, the giantess insulted Megavadi until the king lost her faith and drove Megavadi and her son Surivong out of the city. Both mother and child went to the forest. While sleeping, Nandabana, the giant saw and fell in love with Megavadi. The giant stole her and took her as hi wife in the city of giants. When Surivong woke up, he did not see his mother, so he followed her into the forest and met Taikham hermit. He studied magic spells and took the hermit's step daughter named Kaison as his wife. Then he continued to find his mother and fought with all the giants until he won Nandabana and then took his mother back to Panchara and then drove the giant woman who changed from the city.
