Sacca-Saṅkhepa (The Truth Summary) is the scripture of the Truths which mentions two truths, namely the Supposed Truth that is the commandment and the Paramattha Truth that is the five aggregates and the Nirvana. The scriptur was composed by Indian monk Dhammapala Thera. The author aimed for those who begin to practice Vipassana Meditation to understand Paramattha Dhamma, which is the emotion of practice. Therefore, he explains the five aggregates and seven purifications as well as the various levels of Vipassana and attainment of Nirvana in this scripture. The author had summarized the content from the Abhidhamma Piṭaka and Atthakatha (the commentaries), along with the Visuddhimagga scriptures.
