The Pannyasat or Pannasa Jataka is a non-canonical collection of 50 stories of the Buddha’s past lives, was composed by Chiang Mai monk in around Buddhist Era 2000 to 2200. The content tells about the Buddha when he was born as a Bodhisatta with a determination to perform his perfections in the past in various existences firmly, never giving up on various hardships and obstacles with the utmost desire to attain the enlightenment only. Finally, the Bodhisatta who had beautiful ethics, full of excellent virtues was able to go through hardships until achieves his aspirations.
