Sangkharachakkavattirat or Ninyai Hòi Pang Kham (The tale of a golden chonch). The Buddha preached a sermon to his disciples on his previous existence. One upon a time, in Kosamphi, in the sixth lunar month, the heavy rain had fallen down for seven days. Then Indra sent a golden conch to place in a garden of the city with a beautiful girl inside, whose name was Suvanna Sangkhan. When the gardener found it, she informed the king of Kosamphi about the conch. The king commanded his servants to take the conch to his palace, but nobody could remove it. Colophon: Folio 32 on the recto side: Buddhist Era 250607 (corresponding with BE 2506), the eleventh day of the waning moon of the eighth lunar month, the third day of the week (Tuesday), the writing was accomplished at time of thae kai thiang (between 9.00–10.30 o’clock). The initiator named Thit (ex-monk) Bunthan and his wife, Sao Chanpheng together with all their children sponsored the making of this manuscript entitled Sangkharachakkavattirat to support the Teachings of Gotama Buddha to last until entering the crystal city of Nibbāna in the future.
