Sūtmon doek means the chanting texts written in Pali, which are used by Buddhists, particularly by monks and novice to recite while chanting in the early morning at the temples. The text starts with the chapter of “Ukāsa vandāmi bhante sabbam aparādham khamatha me bhante…” and ends with the chapter of Pannapāramī 30. Colophon: Folio 37 on the recto side: Mahasangkatrasa (CS) 1277, a hap mao year, the thirteenth day of the waxing moon of the eleventh lunar month, the sixth day of the week (Friday), a huang set day, the writing was accomplished at the time of kòng vat mü kham (between 15.00–16.30 o’clock). Phothipannya from Vat Phan Luang had the religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript [entitled] Sutmon doek, to support the Teachings of Gotama Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. May my wishes and desires come true as what I have wished. Nibbāna is the greatest bliss certainly.
