The content tells about the story of Sariladata Kumara, the youngest son of the king of Veransa Nakhon. After having finished his studies from Taxila, his father prepared a girl for him to marry. But Sariladata Kumara did not want to marry; he fled from the city to Kolanda kingdom. When the king of Kolanda saw him, the king impressed him and adopted him as his child. One day, the king of Veransa Nakhon sent a message of puzzles to the king of Kolanda and he needed to answer correctly. If not, the king of Veransa and his troops would attack the kingdom of Kolanda. The king and all his ministers and advisors could not answer the puzzles. So they asked Sariladata Kumara to answer and Sariladata Kumara could answer correctly. Thereafter, he was established by the king of Velanda as new king of Kolanda. Colophons: (1) Folio 17 on the verso side: Munlatantai ends here. (2) Folio 18 on the recto side: Sangkat (CS) 1221, a kat mot year, the sixth day of the waxing moon of the twelfth lunar month, the second [day] of the week (Monday), the writing was accomplished at the time of kòng ngai (between 7.30-9.00 o'clock). Pha Khanan Bupphapannya had the most ardent religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript [entitled] Munlatantai, to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. May my wishes come true and may I reach Nibbāna as the ultimate goal.
