The content refers to the legends of the four hermits, namely Na Lòt Hermit, Na Lai Hermit, Ta Fai Hermit and Ta Ngua Hermit. The four hermits lived in a cave on the hill called Panomsat, and at the mouth of the cave there was also a large Takhian tree. The four hermits placed a long-lived medicine under the tree. Any person who is lucky and takes the medicine, he will live to be 500 years old. Colophons: (1) Folio 11 on the recto side: Sangkat (CS) 1288, a huang khai year (hwai nyi), the third day of the waning moon of the eighth lunar month, the third day of the week (Tuesday), a kat pao day, the writing was accomplished at the time of kòng laeng (between 13.30–15.00 o’clock). I am Thit (ex-monk) Man inscribed this manuscript in order to support the Teachings of the Buddha and for the new generation and teachers who know it well.
