The volume contains letters written by colonial administrators to other people from the colonial office as well as to leaders from areas surrounding the colony of Sierra Leone. The letters are numbered from 241 to 503 and from 1 to 177. They deal with issues related to political prisoners, enslaved refugees, juridisction and stipends. The first part of the volume contains a brief title for each of the letters.
