Khaṇḍanamaṇḍana, and Bhāgavatapurāṇa (1st skandha)

The bundle contains the 1st skandha of the Bhāgavatapurāṇa (images 0296-0299); and four fragments of an Advaita-Vedānta work called Khaṇḍanamaṇḍana by Varadapaṇḍita, disciple of Vidyānanda (images 0005-0044; 0045-0091; 0092-0233; 0234-0295). 0234-0295 have 26 leaves + 10 stray leaves (no numbering). It is an unpublished commentary on Śrīharṣa's work, several copies of which are found in Thrissur (e.g. B-0412). The fragments of the Khaṇḍanamaṇḍana comprise the following parts: 1st pariccheda, beginning of the second (interrupted after a few leaves); 2nd pariccheda, very beginning of the third; 3rd and 4th pariccheda. All texts in the bundle are incomplete, the manuscript is partly damaged.

Extent: 152 leaves (10 stray leaves).

Size and dimensions of original material: W 4.5 x L 60.

Condition of original material: Partly damaged - severe on the left edge on parts one and two. Otherwise, good.
