This material is a Tamil palm-leaf manuscript titled ‘ Vaḷamai pattati’ from Eastern Province, Sri Lanka. This manuscript is written by Velayutha Mudaliyar Arunachalapillai between 1846- 1848. ‘Pattati’ is a constitution of rules and regulations in a temple. This manuscript contains the ‘pattati’ of Trincomalee Vishvanatha Swami Temple. It contains details about the administration, Permanent and temporary Assets, Punishments to various crimes, Maintenance of the temple and the Kurukkal of the temple.
