வால்மீகர் சூத்திரம்

This work manikkattu kayaru sastra is one of the methods of identifying the diseases. It gives details to find out the diseases of a person by measusring the size of wrist. This work is based on stanzas from the Valmeegar Sutra and starts from leaf no.10. ஒருவருக்கு வந்துள்ள நோய்கள் பற்றியும், வரப்போகும் நோய்கள் பற்றியும் ஒரு சிறுகயிறு கொண்டு பார்க்கும் ஒருவகையான மருத்துவ முறையே மணிக்கடைக் கயிறு சாத்திரம் ஆகும். அதாவது, ஒருவரின் கைமணிக் கட்டுப் பகுதியில் இருந்து நான்குவிரற்கடை தள்ளிக்கயிறு கொண்டு அளந்து பார்த்துக் கிடைக்கும் நீளத்தை அவரவர் விரற்கடை அளவாக அளக்க கயிற்றின் நீளம் முறையே நான்கு முதல் பதினொன்று விரற்கடை அளவு வரையிலும் இருக்கும். அந்த அளவுகளைக் கொண்டு ஒருவருக்கு உள்ளநோயைக் கண்டறியும் முறையே இது. இச்சுவடி வால்மீகர் சூத்திரத்தில் உள்ள பாடல்களைக் கொண்டு அமைந்துள்ளது. ஏட்டெண் 10இல் நூல் தொடங்குகிறது.
