Vā chui cañʻ vatthu

Single-text palm-leaf manuscript. Plain teak cover with gilding and vermilion band on edges. Gilded leaves with vermilion band. Decorated woven cotton ribbon. Woven cotton wrapper. Bundlemark belonging to this ms. Vā chui cañ vatthu is a vernacular prose hagiography of the Buddha composed by an unknown author. It dates to the late seventeenth or early eighteenth century. Extent: One bundle of 253 inscribed palm-leaf folios (ff. ka [4] - pha [259]), double f. jhaṃ (mistake in foliation), f. pau skipped (mistake in foliation).
