تفسير الجلالين

Transliterated title: Tafsīr al-Jalālayn with Bilingual Glosses (Part II).

Part II of an Arabic manuscript, which is a copy of the second part of the Tafsīr al-Jalālayn, a classical exegesis of the Quran widely used in Sunni Muslim communities. It was made by a teacher, his student named Jalāl: Jalāl al-Dīn al-Maḥallī (death date 1459) and his student, Jalāl al-Dīn al-Suyūṭī (death date 1505). The manuscript includes Arabic and Soninke Ajami glosses.

Custodial history: The owner inherited it from his father after his death.

Extent and format of original material: 1011 pages.

Physical characteristics: Unbound manuscript. Due to ink stains, some text is difficult to read.
