Haribamsa

The text is an adaptation, in Sylhét Nāgri script, of the original Haribamsa which, according to scholars, was written by Bhabānanda in the 17th century. It narrates the love-story of Krishna and Rādhā, the Hindu god and goddess. It was very popular among the muslims of the Sonāi, Cāchār region in Āssām, for whose benefit it was written in the Sylhét Nāgri script.

The original volume is an undated, printed book measuring 132mm x 223mm. The main text is found on pages 11-124, and that is all that has been copied, along with the front and back covers of the book. The original volume is missing the title page and pages 1-10. Some of the pages are badly torn.
