Phanya Uthumpharat, the king of Chomkhao Kairat which is wide of 500 yojana, had his queen named Chanthathevi and seven daughters namely Thepphamalika, Khanthamalika, Suvannamalika, Sutthamalika, Chanthamalika, Sirimalika, and Sirirupamalika. Phaya Uthumpharat built seven castles for the princess to live in. Each castle had 500 Kinnali servants. One day, the seven princesses went on a trip to the Himalayas. When they reached the middle of the forest, they found a river, so they took a bath with pleasure. When Prince Parot, the Bodhisattva came to see them, he fell in love with them and took them as his wives. He then took they all to say goodbye to Ascetic Nungphan, his uncle, and returned to Thavali kingdom. Colophons: (1) Folio 1 on the recto side: Chunlasangkatrasa (CS) 1252, a kot nyi year, the second day of the waxing moon of the sixth lunar month, the first day of the week (Sunday), a hunag mot day, the writing was accomplished at the time of thae kai thiang (between 9.00–10.30 o’clock). Nang Saen Chakai, along with her relatives and children had the most ardent religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript [entitled] Parot, to support the Teachings of Gotama Buddha to last until the end of […]. May our wishes and desires come true. (2) Folio 23 on the recto side: Saen Chakai from Phakhom village is the sponsor. Bhikkhu Thammapannya is the scribe. May both of us reach the three states of happiness and enter Nibbāna finally. Amen, amen, I rejoice!.
