ສັງຮອມທາດ ກ່າວເຖິງ ເຫດການຕ່າງໆທີ່ເກີດໃນພະພຸດທະສາສະໜາ ຕະຫຼອດໄລຍະໃນ ໕,໐໐໐ ປີ. ເທວະດາຕົນໜຶ່ງ ໄດ້ທູນຖາມພະພຸດທະເຈົ້າ ເມື່ອພະພຸດທະອົງປະທັບຢູ່ວັດເຊຕະວັນ ເມືອງສາວັດຖີ. ພະພຸດທະອົງໄດ້ຕັດວ່າ ສາສະໜາຂອງພະອົງຈັກຕັ້ງຢູ່ໄດ້ ໕,໐໐໐ ວັດສາ. ເມື່ອພຸດທະສາສະໜາລ່ວງໄປແລ້ວ ໕໐໐ ວັດສາ ພິກຂຸນີຈັກໝົດໄປ, ເມື່ອລ່ວງໄປແລ້ວ ໑,໐໐໐ ວັດສາ ພະອໍລະຫັນຈັກໝົດໄປ, ເມື່ອລ່ວງໄປແລ້ວ ໒,໐໐໐ ວັດສາ ຈະຫາບຸກຄົນຊົງຈໍາພະໄຕປິດົກບໍ່ໄດ້, ເມື່ອລ່ວງໄປແລ້ວ ໓,໐໐໐ ວັດສາ ຈັກຫາພິກຂຸທໍາອຸໂປສົດສັງຄະກໍາບໍ່ໄດ້, ເມື່ອລ່ວງໄປແລ້ວ ໕,໐໐໐ ວັດສາ ຈັກຫານັກບວດຜູ້ຫົ່ມຜ້າໄຕຈີວອນບໍ່ໄດ້ ມີພຽງບຸກຄົນທີ່ເອົາຜ້າເຫຼືອງມາພາດບ່າ ກໍ່ສົມມຸດກັນວ່າ ເປັນພະສົງເທົ່ານັ້ນ. ຫຼັງຈາກນັ້ນ ພະອັດຖິທາດຂອງພະພຸດທະເຈົ້າຈັກສະເດັດອອກມາຈາກທີ່ຕ່າງໆ ມາປະຊຸມກັນທີ່ໃຕ້ຕົ້ນສີມະຫາໂພ ກະທໍາເປັນພະພຸດທະເຈົ້າປະທັບນັ່ງທີ່ໃຕ້ຕົ້ນໂພນັ້ນ ແລ້ວສະແດງທໍາມະເທສະໜາຄັ້ງສຸດທ້າຍ ແກ່ພະອິນ, ພະພົມ, ພະຍາຍົມ, ຄຸດ, ມະນຸດ, ກຸມພັນ, ຄົນທັນ, ຍັກ, ເທວະດາ ຕະຫຼອດ ໗ ວັນ ໗ ຄືນ ແລ້ວ ຈຶ່ງເຂົ້າສູ່ ເຕໂຊທາດ ເກີດເປັນໄຟລຸກໄໝ້ ເຂົ້າສູ່ນິບພານ ຊຶ່ງຖືວ່າ ໝົດສິ້ນພຸດທະສາສະໜາ.
Sang hom that tells the changing conditions which are happening with the Teachings of the Buddha through 5,000 years. A deva asked questions to the Buddha while residing at the Jetavana monastery in Savatthi. The Buddha said that his Teachings will be established for 5,000 years. After 500 years of his Teachings, the bhikkhuni would be finished; after 1,000 years, the arahants will be finished; after 2,000 years, it is hard to find any persons who remember the Tipitaka texts; after 3,000 years, it is hard to find monks to assemble for the recitation of the Patimokkha; after 5,000 years, it is hard to find a Buddhist monk who wears the three robes. There will have only persons who have a small piece of the yellow robe putting on their shoulders and are supposed as monks. Thereafter, all the Buddha’s relics from various places will be altogether as the Buddha sitting under the Bodhi tree. The Buddha will deliver his last sermon to Indra, Brahmas, Yamas, Garudas, humans, Ogres, Gandharvas, Giants, Devas for seven days and nights. Then the Buddha will be flamed and enter Nibbana. That is regarded as the end of Buddhism.
