The content tells the ten kinds of meat that monks should not eat; the punishment for who beats his child or wife; and the five kinds of killing. The ten kinds of meat to avoid eating by monks for self-respect and protection: humans, elephants, horses, dogs, snakes, lions, bears, yellow tigers, liopards, and Bengal tigers. Beating his child or wife is punished. If the child or wife runs into the other house, the person should stop doing the beat even though he was angry. Five steps of destruction of life including the being is alive, the thought of killing, to attempt to kill, and the being dies with that effort. Colophon: Folio 16 on the recto side: Chunlasangkat (CS) 1267, a hap sai year, the first day of the waxing moon of the eighth lunar month, the second day of the week (Monday), the writing was accomplished. Maha Somdet Sangkhasa Phothipannya from Vat Long Khun strived to seek for this manuscript of Sangkhahapakon. After reading, the Venerable had much mental happiness, asaṃkhārika ñānasampayutta kusala and the most ardent religious faith and asks Phia Hòmsombat and his wife who lived at the back of Vat Xiang Thong to sponsor the making of this manuscript. I am [Phothipannya] the scribe and accomplished this manuscript, in order to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. May all our wishes and desires come true forever. May we all enter the crystal city which is Nibbāna definitely. May this be a condition for us to reach Nibbāna which is the greatest bliss certainly and constantly. Ahaṃ kassapo arahato [ho]mi anāgate kāle.
