In the Buddha’s time, there was a girl named Passacitta Kummali living in Aranyakham, not far from the Veluvanna monastery. She was the daughter of King of Benares. After the death of her parent, she was orphan and destitute with no relative and no supporter. The property from her parent had been finished. She thought that this might be the results of her previous bad actions. Then she came to the Buddha and asked the Buddha about her situation. Thus, the Buddha delivered a sermon and described that in her previous existences, she had never observed precepts, did not respect to parents and old people. That was why she is destitute. Colophon: Folio 25 on the recto side: In Chunlasangkat 1112 hundred and 711 (corresponding with CS 1271), a kot san year, on the fourteenth day of the waning moon of the twelfth lunar month, a Wednesday, [the writing was accomplished] at the time of kòng ngai (between 7.30–9.00 o’clock). Sao Kaeophila whose house turns towards the South and all her children sponsored the making of this manuscript [entitled] Anulom, fascicle 4, to support the Teachings of Gotama Buddha to last until I become a bhikkhuni and the path of arahantship. Nibbāna paccayo hotu niccaṃ dhuvaṃ dhuvaṃ (May this be a condition for us to reach Nibbāna, constantly and certainly).
