The File is an issue of the newspaper, The Hindoo Patriot spanning the months of July to November in the year 1897.
Extent and format of original material: One bound volume with 196 folio.
Physical characteristics: Both front and back covers are missing. The pages are moth-eaten, yellowed, acidic and very brittle. Edges torn. Marks of foxing, fungal infestation, reverse impressions, patches of colour and rust marks are visible. Loss of text due to fragility and cutting. The spine is loose and damaged. Item was probably exposed to moist conditions. The print is faded and its alignment is askew. Fold marks present. Ink, glue and rust marks present. Entire volume is in severely compromised state. September 2nd and 3rd printed upside down. Pages missing in the beginning and end. The volume starts from 6th July and ends on 6th November. Dimensions: 65x50x2.
