Technical drawings of locomotives and parts

Technical drawings of locomotives, bogies, water tankwagons, drag boxes, bogie swing links, wagon stocks, axlebox lubricators, wagon bodies and underframes, support tubes ferrules, vacuum/hand brakes, blow off cocks, turket lathes, etc. Four British firms were responsible for the design and building of these locomotives/spares. These include: The North British Locomotive Co. LTD; the Leeds Force Co. LTD; Vulcan Foundry LTD, and the Hunslet Engine Co. LTD. The American General Motors LTD also supplied rail technology in the late 1950s. Most of the engines were built by Hunslet while a significant number of the bogies, carriers and were crafted by Vulcan Foundry LTD. Some goods - open/covered were locally built by the mechanical engineering department of the Nigerian Railway Corporations. These technical drawings themselves were drawn by the technical staff of the mechanical engineering department of the NRC.
