The letter, dated April 18, 1920 and sent by civil engineer Joaquín Capelo, is addressed to the president of the Student Federation of Peru. In it, Capelo is grateful for the letter in which he is informed that the federation has agreed to form a gallery of teachers and outstanding figures of America, Europe and the university. He expresses his gratitude for having been considered among the illustrious teachers and encloses his photograph and autograph, as a token of sympathy and recognition towards the student youth.
La carta, fechada el 18 de abril de 1920 y enviada por el ingeniero civil Joaquín Capelo, está dirigida al presidente de la Federación de Estudiantes del Perú. En ella, Capelo agradece la carta en la que se le comunica que la federación ha acordado formar una galería de maestros y figuras destacadas de América, Europa y de la universidad. Expresa su gratitud por haber sido considerado entre los maestros ilustres y adjunta su fotografía y autógrafo, como muestra de simpatía y reconocimiento hacia la juventud estudiantil.
