This letter, dated February 6, 1920 and addressed to the secretaries of the Student Federation of Peru in Lima, comes from the Directorate of the Naval School. In it, the frigate captain, director of the school, acknowledges receipt of the invitation for the students of the school to participate in the homage to Ricardo Palma, organized for the following day in honor of the anniversary of his birth. He expresses his regret for having received the communication with little time in advance, but assures that the necessary efforts will be made for a commission of students to attend the event, despite being on vacation.
Esta carta, fechada el 6 de febrero de 1920 y dirigida a los secretarios de la Federación de Estudiantes del Perú en Lima, proviene de la Dirección de la Escuela Naval. En ella, el capitán de fragata, director de la escuela, acusa recibo de la invitación para que los estudiantes del plantel participen en el homenaje a Ricardo Palma, organizado para el día siguiente en honor al aniversario de su nacimiento. Expresa su pesar por haber recibido la comunicación con poco tiempo de anticipación, pero asegura que se harán los esfuerzos necesarios para que una comisión de alumnos asista al evento, pese a encontrarse en vacaciones.
