The content tells about the Buddha’s teachings. The scholars like to seek the teachings of the Buddha, like to give alms, keep the virtues, listen to the Buddha's teachings, always remember the virtues of the Buddha, the Dharma and the Sangka to benefit themselves and get prosperity. Individuals who do not like to do good for themselves will bring about their own destruction later. Colophon: Folio 9 on the recto side: Sangkatrasa 1200 and 3 (corresponding with CS 1203), a huang pao year, on the eleventh day of the waning moon of the twelfth lunar month, the fourth day of the week (Wednesday), the writing was accomplished at the time of kòng laengi (between 13.30–15.00 o’clock). Sathu (Prince) Pho and his wife together with children, grandchildren and relatives had the religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript entitled Mathurotsa Khatha (Madhurasa Khāthā) to support the Teaching of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. Nibbāna paccayo hotu no dhuvaṃ dhuvaṃ (May this be a condition for us to reach Nibbāna, certainly).
