The content tells about Vinaya mentions the ten precepts of novices and the 227 precepts of monks, such as Pārājika 4 and Sangadesesa 13, etc. Pārājika literally means ‘defeats’ which is called Garukāpatti (heavy punishment). If a monk breaks any one of the rules he is automatically defeated in the holy life and falls from monkhood immediately. He is not allowed to become a monk again in his lifetime. Sanghadisesa is the punishment came from the infringement of the precepts which are heavy penalties. The offences must be depended on the meeting of the Sangha for being free from the penalties.
