The content tells about the 38 blessings. On one occasion, the Buddha was dwelling at the Jetavana monastery in Savatthi. When the night was far spent, a certain deity whose surpassing splendor illuminated the entire Jetavana monastery came to the presence of the Buddha and after drawing near, respectfully saluted the Buddha and stood to one side. Standing thus, he addressed the Buddha in verses: many are the deities and men, yearning after good, have pondered on blessings. Pray, tell me the supreme blessings are. Therafter, the Buddha preached a sermon about the thirty-eight blessings. This fascicle tells the blessings from the number 12 to 25.
