ໜັງສືເທດສະໜາຂອງສົມເດັດພະພຸດທະໂຄສາຈານ (ຈະເຣີນ ຍານະວະໂຣ). ເນື້ອໃນກ່າວເຖິງໂອວາດຄໍາສອນແລະນິທານຕ່າງໆເຊັ່ນ ເລື້ອງສັດເດຍລະສານຮ້ອງທຸກຕໍ່ພະເຈົ້າເນົາວະສວ່ານ. ໃນສະໄໝໜຶ່ງ ພະເຈົ້າເນົາວະສວ່ານ ໄດ້ຕັດຖາມຣາຊະຄູວ່າ ເຫດອັນໃດ ແຫຼວຈຶ່ງມີອາຍຸສັ້ນ ນົກຈອກຈຶ່ງມີອາຍຸຍືນ? ຣາຊະຄູໄດ້ຕອບວ່າ ແຫຼວອາຍຸສັ້ນ ເພາະມີຈິດໃຈອໍາມະຫິດມັກຂົ່ມເຫັງເພື່ອນສັດດ້ວຍກັນ ສ່ວນນົກຈອກມີອາຍຸຍືນ ເພາະມີຈິດເມດຕາ ບໍ່ຂົ່ມເຫັງ ບໍ່ບຽດບຽນເພື່ອນສັດດ້ວຍກັນ ຂໍຖວາຍພະພອນ ຂໍພະອົງໄດ້ຊົງຕັ້ງຢູ່ໃນຄອງທໍາດ້ວຍເທີດເປັນຕົ້ນ.

Once upon a time, King Naovasavan asked his great master that why the hawk has a short life but the sparrow has a long life? The master replied that the hawk has a short because it has a cruel heart and likes to bully fellow animals, while the sparrow lives long because it has a kind heart, does not oppress, does not insult fellow animals. May you set up your mind in the righteous way.
