The text mentions about “suep sata” (prolong fate) ritual which will be organized for three purposes including for a human being, for a house and for a village or city. Each ceremony has to have offerings. In general, the offerings for suep sata have to be included a banana-leaf cups, candles, paddles, white rice, eggs, banana, sugar cane, money, etc. The ceremony is organized only for a person who is serious ill, bad lucks happened in a house or in a city. It is believed that the recitation of the text will charm away troubles. Colophon: Folio 34 on the recto and verso sides: Chunlasangkatrasa (CS) 1275, a ka pao year, the twelfth day of the waxing moon of the fourth lunar month, the first day of the week (Sunday), the writing was accomplished at the time of kòng ngai (between 7.30–9.00 o’clock). Somdet phachao bòrommachakkaphatti sisuriyavong (the royal king) who freely lived in the city of Sisattanakhanahut uttama rattanaburirom phommachakkaphatti si lanxang hom khao, whose name is Sisavang Vong, the ruler of Luang Prabang, together with his parents, queen, children and relatives, jointly had the most ardent religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript [entitled] Süpsatā müang, to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. May our wishes and desires come true. May we all be safe from dangers, misfortune and diseases such as 96 kinds of diseases, 25 kinds of dangers and 32 kinds of misfortunes which exist in both inside and outside of my characteristics, may all these be vanished. Amen, may this be a condition for us to reach Nibbāna certainly.
