The text tells about the rewards derived from worshiping the Buddha by practice and the precept observance. The Buddha spoke Ananda Thera, that any person such as a monk, novice, lay man and lay woman who has followed the Buddha’s teachings is called as worshiper of the Buddha. Any person who regularly observes the five, eight or and ten precepts and Catuparisuddhi-sila (the fourfold morality of pure conduct) and practice meditation, after death, will be reborn in the time of Ariya Metteyya Buddha. Colophon: Folio 20 on the recto side: In Chunlasangkat (CS) 1222, a kot san year, on the twelfth day of the waning moon of the tenth lunar month, the third day of the week (Tuesday), a kap sanga day, the writing was accomplished at the time of tut sai (between 12.00–13.30 o’clock). Phò I Chan (father of Ms. Chan) and his wife together with their children and relatives had the ardent religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript [entitled] Ānisong Hòm to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. Nibbāna paccayo hotu no (May this be a condition for us to reach Nibbāna). On the other hand, may the results of this merit support us. Even if we are stuck in a misery place, may we be moved to a good place. Nibbāna paccayo hotu no niccam dhuvam dhuvam (May this be a condition for us to reach Nibbāna constantly and certainly).
