The text tells in the Buddha’s time, there was a woman who had the most ardent religious faith in the Buddha’s teachings. She made regularly the alms-giving to the monks. One day while she was bringing the rice, water and food to the monastery in order to offer to the monks. A crow catching on a tree near by saw the woman bringing the food, with hungriness; it flew down and nibbled at the food. By the result of the bad deed, after death the crow went to hell. After the hell, it became a peta (hungry ghost).
