Prince Phan Phommathat, the royal son of King Kasi Phommathat, married Princess Kanchanathevi. One night, the princess dreamed that a red ball of gold had fallen from the sky, but she accepted it. In the morning, she told her husband Prince Phan Phommathat and he ordered the Brahmin priests in the court to prophesy. The Brahmin priests prophesied that a prince would be born. Later, Princess Kanchanathevi gave birth to a son and a daughter named Anong Phan Phommathat and Annyana. When King Kasi Phommathat was 3,000 years old, he had a worldly boredom. So he appointed Prince Phan Phommathat as his successor to the throne, and then he was ordained as a ascetic along with his queen Mahesura and lived in the Himalayas.
