ອັດຖະສາລິນີ ເນື້ອໃນທັງໝົດເປັນບົດພາສາບາລີ ເປັນຄໍາພີອັດຖະກະຖາທີ່ອະທິບາຍຄວາມໃນພະທໍາມະສັງຄິນີແຫ່ງພະອະພິທໍາປິດົກ ແຕ່ງໂດຍພະພຸດທະໂຄສາຊາວສີລັງກາໃນສະຕະວັດທີ່ V ນອກຈາກອະທິບາຍຄໍາແລະສັບເທັກນິກທາງຈິດ, ເຈຕະສິກ, ຮູບ ແລະນິບພານ ທາງພະພຸດທະສາສະໜາແລ້ວ ຍັງໃຫ້ຂໍ້ມູນດ້ານປະຫວັດສາດແລະພູມສາດອີກດ້ວຍ. ຄໍາພີອັດຖະສາລິນີເປັນທີ່ນິຍົມສຶກສາໃນໝູ່ນັກສຶກສາພະອະພິທໍາ.

Atthasālinī with the whole text written in Pali is the commentary on the Dhammasangani of Abhidhamma Pitaka was composed by Sri Lankan Venerable Bhuddhagosa in the fifth centry. In addition to explaining the technical terms and words of conciousness, mental factors, corporeality, and nibbāna in the Dhammasangani, it also provides information on history and geography. Atthasālinī scripture is very popular among the students who study the Abhidhamma.
