The text tells about the chronicle of Phanom stupa. After having meal which offered by the people of Marukkhanakhon, the Buddha gave spoke to Anandha Thera and made a prediction. Anandha! After eight years and eight montha of the passing away of the Buddha, there will have a disciple of the Buddha named Maha Kassapa Thera who will bring 24 pieces of my chest relics to establish at this Phukampha Mountain as a worship for human beings and devas. Later, Veneravle Maha Kassapa Thera was accompanied with other 500 arahats brought the relics to the Phukampha Mountain. The construction of a stupa called Phra That Phanom for installing the relics was supported by the five kings from the five kingdoms in this region. Colophon: Folio 8 on the recto side: In Chunlasangkat (CS) 1279, a moeng sai year, the writing was accomplished at the time of kòng laeng (between 13.30–15.00 o’clock). Novice Phan together with his parent and all siblings had the ardent religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript [entitled] Tamnan Thattu Phachao to support the Teachings of Gotama Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. May we be free from suffering in the Saṁsara. May we reach Nirvana definitely. May our wishes and desires not be ignored. Niccaṃ dhuvaṃ paramaṃ sukhaṃ (Constantly and certainly the greatest bliss). Nibbāna paccayo hotu me (May this be a condition for me to reach Nibbāna).
