བཀའ་འགྱུར་གྱི་ཏོག་

This particular series comprises the opening pages of the Kanjur, a revered compilation of the Buddha's profound teachings. Within Tibetan Buddhism, the Kanjur holds a distinguished status as one of the primary canonical scriptures. Among the temples of Bhutan, Katsho Gonpa stands as a custodian of a set of Kanjur, though printed through the xylographic method derived from the Narthang woodblock. The initial page, known as "tog," in each volume is meticulously adorned with gold ink on dark blue paper. Furthermore, the first page of the initial volume of every section features depictions of the Buddha and Bodhisattvas, enhancing the sacredness of the text. Within the sanctuary of Katsho Gonpa, the Kanjur is revered as a sacred relic. Positioned on traditional bookshelves, it is carefully enveloped in layers of cloth and shielded by two wooden boards, securely fastened with a string. These protective measures signify the profound reverence and meticulous care accorded to this spiritual treasure.
