This collection comprises various scriptures, primarily sutras believed to be the words of the Buddha. Most of the texts are handwritten, though a few are block prints produced from wooden blocks carved at various locations in Bhutan. Among these, three volumes stand out as golden scriptures, written in gold ink on dark blue, handmade Bhutanese paper. The remaining texts are meticulously inscribed in black ink on cream-colored, handmade Bhutanese paper. Preserved as sacred relics, all the manuscripts are carefully stored on traditional bookshelves. They are wrapped in layers of cloth and secured between two wooden boards, fastened with string. These protective measures symbolize the profound reverence and meticulous care with which this spiritual treasure is preserved.
