This series features a collection of sutras designated as golden scriptures. It includes two volumes of the Perfection of Wisdom in Eight Thousand Lines and one volume of the Good Aeon Sutra. Although only the two volumes of the Perfection of Wisdom in Eight Thousand Lines are formally classified as golden scriptures, the Good Aeon Sutra has been added to this category because it shares similar features. Among these, only one volume of the Perfection of Wisdom in Eight Thousand Lines is entirely written in gold ink on dark blue paper. The other two volumes—the second volume of the Perfection of Wisdom and the Good Aeon Sutra—feature gold ink on the opening pages, with the main text inscribed in black ink on cream-colored handmade Bhutanese paper. Except for the Good Aeon Sutra, which is stored with the Kanjur set, these scriptures are housed separately as the most sacred texts in the collection. Each volume is carefully wrapped in multiple layers of protective cloth and secured between wooden boards fastened with string. This meticulous preservation reflects the profound reverence and care given to these spiritual treasures.
Extent: 3 volumes of manuscripts.
Arrangement: Absence of Systematic Arrangement.
