This collection comprises a diverse range of manuscripts, including philosophical treatises, liturgical manuals, pith instructions, oral advice, astrological texts, grammar, poetry, and more. While the majority of the texts are handwritten in Uchen and Ume scripts, there are also block prints created from woodblocks carved in Bhutan and Tibet. Both the block prints and manuscripts are inscribed on cream-colored dhabné handmade paper using black ink. The collection also includes a golden scripture of the Perfection of Wisdom in Eight Hundred Thousand Lines, written in gold ink on dark blue paper. Preserved as sacred relics, these manuscripts are housed in Tshelingkhor Temple. Stored on traditional bookshelves, each volume is carefully wrapped in layers of cloth, secured between two wooden boards, and tied with string—demonstrating the profound reverence and meticulous care devoted to preserving these spiritual treasures.
Extent: 82 volumes of manuscripts.
