This collection comprises xylographic print manuscripts that cover a wide array of subjects, including philosophical treatises, liturgical manuals, pith instructions, oral advice, astrological treatises, grammar, poetry, and more. The texts are printed using woodblocks carved at various locations within Bhutan as well as in Tibet. Notably, several significant texts were printed from blocks carved at Yongla Gonpa itself and other temples in Pemagatshel. Like many traditional manuscripts, these texts are printed on cream-colored dhabné handmade paper using black ink. Preserved as sacred relics, they are housed in Yongla Temple. Stored in a specially designated room without shelves, each volume is carefully wrapped in layers of cloth, secured between two wooden boards, and tied with string—symbolizing the profound reverence and meticulous care dedicated to preserving these spiritual treasures.
Extent: 28 volumes of manuscripts.
