The chronicle of the footprint at Hang Hung (Hawk nest) Hill. The text tells the story of the footprint at Hang Hung (Hawk nest) Hill or the four footprints at the monastery the four footprints, the Mount of Vebhara in Mae Rim distict, Chiang Mai province where is the place of the four footprints of the four previous Buddhas established. The four Buddhas are Kakusanda Buddha, Konagamana Buddha, Kassapa Buddha ,and Gotama Buddha. The content also tells about a monk who dreamed and saw a whilte man advised him to pay respect the footprints at Hang Hung Hill. Colophon: Folio 19 on the recto side: Chunlasangkatrasa (CS) 1292, a huang sai year, on the seventh day of the waxing moon of the ninth lunar month, the fifth day of the week (Thursday), the writing was accomplished at the time of kòng ngai (between 7.30–9.00 o’clock). The initiator, Saen Chan from Thaen village sponsored the making of these two manuscript-fascicles entitled Tamnan Phabat Hanghung and Song Thung Lek (Legend of the Buddha’s footprint of Hanghing and Rewards derived from the making of religious iron flags) to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. May my desires and wishes come true. May this be a condition for us to reach Niravana.
