Vinaya text of the Pacittaya (rules entailing confession). The text was written in Nisaya style. Examples of the contents: Any bhkkhu give a robe-cloth to a bhikkhuni unrelated to him, it is to be confessed. Any bhikkhu, by arrangement, travel together with a bhikkhuni even for the interval between one village and the next, it is to be confessed. Any bhikkhu knowingly eat almsfood donated through the prompting of a bhikkhuni, it is to be confessed. Any bhikkhu sit in private, alone with a bhikkhuni, it is to be confessed. Colophon: Folio 25 on the recto side: Sangkat (CS) 1216, a kap nyi year, on the fourth day of the waxing moon of the sixth lunar month, a tao san day, a Sunday, the writing of this manuscript was accomplished at the time of kòng ngai (between 7.30–9.00 o’clock). Phanya Luang Xiang Nuea and his wife together with all their children, grandchildren and relatives had the most ardent religious faith in the Buddha’s Teachings and sponsored the making of this manuscript entitled Sap Pachitti Viphangkha (vocabularies of Pacittiya Vibhanga), to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. Sudinnaṃ vatta me dānaṃ nibbānaṃ paranaṃ sukhaṃ niccaṃ niccaṃ dhuvaṃ (May the alms that I have already given be a condition to reach Nibbāna which is the greatest bliss constantly and certainly).
