Āśvalāyanaśrautasūtra, [Nārāyaṇabalividhi]

The bundle contains the Āśvalāyanaśrautasūtra (images 0005-0239), divided into 12 adhyāyas: f° 10v: end of 1st adhyāya; f° 27v: end of 2nd adhyāya; f° 39r: end of 3rd adhyāya; f° 50r: end of 4th adhyāya; f° 63v: end of 5th adhyāya; f° 73r: end of 6th adhyāya; f° 81r: end of 7th adhyāya; f° 92v: end of 8th adhyāya; f° 99v: end of 9th adhyāya; f° 105v: end of 10th adhyāya; f° 109v: end of 11th adhyāya; f° 116v: end of 12th adhyāya. Followed by fragments of a short [Nārāyaṇabalividhi] (images 0240-0255). The text of the Āśvalāyanaśrautasūtra is complete. [Nārāyaṇabalividhi] comprises the description of the rite (which may be more than one) that includes chandoviniyoga, worship of deities such as Agni, Vāyu, Sūrya, Prajāpati. Several leaves are broken in halves. Most of the text is in Sanskrit, with some instructions in Malayalam towards the end. F° 126, which is very fragmentary, contains the beginning of another ritual work. The manuscript is damaged.
